Be kind to your body, honour your limits, and enjoy yourself.
Be consistent with your practice and you will reap numerous benefits.
Inform the teacher prior to class if you have any health conditions such as neck, back, or joint injuries, recent surgery, high blood pressure, etc.
It is better to drink lots of water throughout the day and be well-hydrated, as opposed to drinking a lot during the class as a full stomach makes certain poses uncomfortable and may even lead to muscle cramping.
Be prepared to sweat at times (especially in Power Yoga), it is your body’s natural way of regulating your temperature.
If you need to eat before class, we recommend it only be a light snack 2 or more hours prior to practice.
Try to avoid stimulants or depressants, such as nicotine, caffeine, or alcohol, for at least 1 hour prior to class.
